Gaultier For Madonna

She is doing it again boys!  She getting ready for another tour!!!  Gaultier will be on hand again.  Read on the latest news from her website:

PARIS- Madonna, absent from fashion front row for years, unleashed pandemonium at the couture shows here Wednesday afternoon when she arrived at Jean Paul Gaultier.

The paparazzi surged dangerously, with camera crews sneaking in between the rows to get footage of the pop superstar. Dressed all in black with wraparound sunglasses, Madonna told WWD, "Gaultier is going to design the costumes for my next show. We are going to discuss the details tomorrow."

Once her bodyguards cleared the runway, Madonna jumped from her seat to greet French photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino before the show. As it turns out, the queen of pop is quite the polyglot, finding time to exchange a few words in Spanish with her front-row neighbor, flamenco dancer Joachim Cortez.

Gaultier is also designing costumes for Cortez and his 17 musicians for his upcoming Paris show dubbed My Loneliness. After Gaultiers Greek-themed confections exited the runway, Madonna exited with her entourage, with camera crews trailing aggressively, getting into tussles with editors also eager for a look at the celebrity.

Material Dancer

Time went by....so slowly last night waiting for her.  But around 2am she hit the stage and charmed us into a dance.  A dance that lasted at least 25 minutes.  It was Amazing.

Check out the Roxy photos at Madonnalicious and Drowned Madonna.

I was front & center and had my trusty cam-phone with me so I took a few, but they are not as clear.  I'll post them soon.

Roxy_madge_2We don't know what to believe, and the denials made us a bit suspicious.  Then we see this.

The Peter Rauhofer Returns 2 Roxy flier also looks suspiciously like the Confessions' cover.  Coincidence?  Hmmn...

Can you say....hook, line and sinker?   See you there.

Final Countdown

Confessions_2 (click to play)

According to Madge's website, the countdown to "Confessions on a Dancefloor" has begun.

The first single Hung Up does contain a sample from an ABBA song Gimme Gimme Gimme.  Previous reports had suggested a sample from ABBA's other song, Ring Ring.  Liz Rosenberg denied that.

Madonnalicious also reports today that plans are also in the works for a 30 second clip to be released on October 12th as a mobile ringtone.

Desperately Seeking Abba

Abba Anticipating Madonna's new album, Confessions on a Dance Floor, there is much speculation and rumors regarding the new single.  One of the most interesting rumors is that Madge's first single "Hung Up", will be sampling ABBA's song "Ring, Ring".  Madonna.com has no mention of this strange combo, but Abba Fan sites and sites like DJ Peter Rauhofer's are all a buzz. Confessions on a Dance Floor will be out this fall.  (via madonnalicious)

Update:  Liz Rosenberg has confirmed to madonnalicious that Madonna's new single Hung Up does NOT contain a sample of ABBA's Ring Ring as previously reported on the www.undercover.au website.

Madonna's Secret

Madge_teaser_3                               (click image to play trailer)

Madonna.com has revamped the front page of their website which includes a teaser trailer of Madonna's upcoming documentary that was shot during her Reinvention Tour.

In a letter to her fans, Madonna writes that she has "been burning the midnight oil, finishing up my tour documentary and this has been consuming most of my time since October 2004. Being a perfectionist, I can't stop making last minute changes and revisions!
A film is such a different process than an album or a tour and I've learned so much. It has been exciting reliving the tour again and again....and I look
forward to sharing the finished product with all of you."

The film is set to be release in conjunction with her latest album, due out at year's end.

The website's front page also displays 1989 Herb Ritts outtake of a vintage Madge which will also be featured on the front cover of the latest issue of the fanclub magazine, ICON.

Sister Madge?

A4_2 Nunsense - Madge...er Esther and husband Guy Ritchie attended a party to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim at London's Kabbalah Centre last Thursday.  But according to reports, her Madgeness showed up dressed as a holy sister while husband Guy sported a priest outfit.  Outraged members of the American Catholic League claim the two stars should be beaten by a real life priest and nun for desecrating the scared attire.  What ever happened to turn the other cheek?  via femalefirst.co.uk

Madonna's Electrifying Tour

Superstar Madonna is poised to shock fans on her upcoming Re-Invention tour - by being "electrocuted" live on stage. The American Life singer is planning to make a series of bold statements in the controversial concerts, and has come up with a show that will make pal Britney Spears's raunchy Onyx Hotel tour look tame. As well as being "frazzled" in an electric chair, Madonna will also screen video footage of the corpses belonging to victims of the war in Iraq, perform sexy lesbian dance routines and have scantily-clad pregnant women dancing along to track "Papa Don't Preach." A source tells British newspaper the Sun, "This show will make people's hair stand on end. Madonna has pulled out all the stops to make it her most controversial yet. The electric chair scene is breathtaking. The concerts are really going to cause a stir on the same level as her Sex book and the Erotica album. But tempers have been frayed and she has been swearing every five minutes at the team putting the show together. The atmosphere is really fraught." Madonna's tour will begin in California next Monday.

MADGE'S Re-Invention Tour

It's official: International pop superstar Madonna is going out on tour this spring and summer for the first time in three years, beginning May 24 in Los Angeles at The Forum. The tour will hit major markets in the U.S. through early August before heading overseas. Dates are confirmed for London and Paris, with proposed shows in Israel and Ireland.

"Madonna has already started rehearsals for 'The re-Invention Tour' and she can't wait to get back on stage to recreate her songs from the earliest days of her career up until the present," manager Caresse Henry said. "And as a special treat to her fans, existing Icon fan club members will have access to tickets prior to the on-sale dates in local markets."

The Material Girl last toured in 2001, when she grossed more than $74 million with a summer of sold-out shows in North America and Europe.
